Bargain hunting for women's plus size clothing

While it is difficult to find large women's clothing, it is even more difficult to find large clothes at affordable prices. To get the best deals for plus size clothing, consider shopping online, at local stores and through mail order catalogs. Here are eight strategies to save money:

  • Look for a sale, liquidation or point of sale section on your preferred retailer's website. In this way, you can sometimes save up to 80% on original prices. If your retailer is owned by a parent company, also check the parent company's website for a release or exit section.
  • Comparison store for similar items on different websites. If you plan to wear an item only a few times or occasionally, you may be able to buy a similar but less expensive item.
  • Always use a search engine to find a promo code for your reseller. Many websites follow these coupon codes as well as expiration dates to help shoppers save money. When completing your order form online or in a catalog, look for an entry for Coupon Code or Promotion Code and enter a coupon code that applies. If you order online, make sure you have received the discount for entering the coupon code.
  • Go to your favorite retailer's website plus size and sign up to receive the promos by email. In addition, if the registration form offers a printed catalog, ask for it as well. By signing up, you will receive e-mail and catalog notifications about current promotions at the retailer. Note that you only need to register at the retailers that you are really interested in, otherwise your mailbox may be overloaded with excessive emails.
  • Buy clothes off season or pre-season. Many retailers will offer significant discounts on off-season items.
  • Buy machine washable clothes. The cost of dry cleaning an item will make it expensive in the long run. If you do not know if an item is machine washable, be sure to ask the retailer before you buy.
  • Visit local stores that sell  plus size clothing   and browse their clearance shelves. Some local retailers are trying to quickly get rid of their excessive inventory to make room for the latest fashion.
  • Buy items that fit well with what you already have in your wardrobe in terms of style and color.
