How to cure milia on face?

Milia is one of the skin conditions which is also dubbed as baby acne because it generally appears in newborns. Milia is also known as the millium cyst and is not dangerous and does not require special treatment because it can disappear by itself. In addition to infants, milia can also appear at any age and in certain cases sufferers can be recommended to go through the treatment process.

The milia form in general is like a zit, which is a small white lump resembling a pearl or yellowish white color. Usually appears in groups in the nose, eyes, forehead, eyelids, cheeks, and chest. If there is only one lump, the term used is millium. This form causes the nickname of baby acne. However, milia cannot be equated with acne in infants because acne may also grow in babies who have milia.

As usual, in a situation or condition, there must be something or a factor that causes the condition. Milia that occurs in most babies and adults is caused by the skin not exfoliating properly. A millium can form due to the presence of a protein, called keratin, which is trapped inside the pilosebasea gland in the dermis layer of the skin.

Other causes can be affected by too much exposure to sunlight. Skin that is exposed to sunlight too often can cause interference with the pilosebasea gland, which triggers the appearance of milia.
