Trendy clothes that you can wear right away

Young people can define the trend of shopping back to school in three words, Wear It Now.

Teenagers and pre-teens are looking for the immediate gratification of buying clothes they can wear right now. A good idea for parents is to split the back-to-school budget between summer and fall shopping outings, says T.J. Maxx Fashion spokeswoman Laura McDowell. Refuel for warmer weather from time to time, then add sweaters, sweatshirts and other heavier items as the weather changes.

The layered look is absolutely the top fashion statement. Start with lace camies and add long-sleeved shirts, deep v-neck sweaters and hoodies. You will see up to three layers of varied textures and pieces.

In August and September, girls will want to start with a lace camisole or tank top and rely on the superimposed effect of the new favorite of the season: the tunic. The tunics lengthen the ensemble, with many lengths ranging from 26 to 34 inches. Look for peas, flowers, and solids in soft tones such as gray, brown, olive, and black. The tunics can be camisoles, short-sleeved or long-sleeved; the key is their length.

As for socks, long shorts will certainly continue to be a popular choice early in the fall.

The other top choices for the back are skinny jeans with darker washes, pencil skirts and leggings.

The tops will be an integral part of the fashion back to school. Hooded fleece jackets and short-sleeved hoodies for layering, as well as sweaters (oversized knit knit in solid and striped) are all part of the decor. The long cardigan, turtleneck, cowl neck and deep V-neck are perfect pieces for layering.
