So how do you get rid of insects?
The light will attract midges and prevent them from finding the pool.
Dump the catch
Every day, before turning off the filtration system, take the salvage net and discard it.
If you turn off the filtration system without emptying the capture net, insects caught in the net will be able to escape into your pool.
Emptying the catch-net allows you to use your filtration system as a real tool to get rid of insects.
get rid of their food
Use algaecide to kill algae in your pool.
The second source of food is small insects.
Use your landing net to catch small bugs every time you see them.
This prevents larger insects from growing because you are deleting their food source.
One simple solution is to just turn on one light in your pool and toss in 4-5 teaspoons of dishwashing liquid near the light.
The insects will be attracted by the light, will be covered with soap and will die of not being able to breathe through the layer of soap.
Note that this does not remove the underlying causes of the bugs, it just kills the bugs once.
