Er zijn tegenwoordig verschillende fytochemicaliën die worden gebruikt. Fytochemicaliën voorkomen het ontstaan van bepaalde soorten kanker; deze omvatten prostaatkanker, borstkanker en darmkanker. Daarom vinden ze hun plaats in anti-verouderingsproducten voor huidverzorging.
Sommige B-vitamines, zoals vitamine B5, B6 en B12, worden ook gebruikt voor anti-verouderingsproducten voor huidverzorging.
