Every day I receive requests on how to becoming a modell. Things like how to get started, finding and contacting a modelling agency, and getting a first photo shoot.

Hur man börjar:

Innan du börjar göra något bör du ställa dig själv dessa frågor eftersom de kommer att leda dig genom processen.

• What do I want to get out of modelling?
• Vad är jag villig att använda för att bli en modelll
• What kind of modell do I want to be? Fashion, Runway, swimsuit, sport,etc.
• Hur flexibel är jag att resa och spara tid?

Once you evaluate these questions, There is two ways you can go. One is to contact a modelling agency which I will explain below. The other method is to act like your own agency and create your own portfolio. This is easily done over the internet, now with several places in which you can post pictures, and information on yourself to attract talent scouts.

If you choose to go the traditional route and to work with a modelling agency, It can be hard at times to know first of all how to find a good one, and what to look for in a modelling agency. You can easily look up and find agencies in phone books or online,etc. Before you do any of that, I would recommend contacting anyone you know, that is a modell, and finding out about some of the experiences that they have had with modelling and general, and also specifically with different agencies in your area. Once you have a general idea of what the scene looks like, contact some of the agencies and set up an appointment to meet with them. Meeting with the agency can be the hardest and most nerve wrecking part of the whole experience. Be firm, and don’t allow the agency to take advantage of you!

De saker du ska be om och leta efter är:

• What do they do for other modells?
• Vad kan de göra för dig?
• Kan de tillgodose dina behov som exempel?
• Har byrån mål som liknar dem du har för dig själv?

Den sista frågan Hur man gör en första fotografering beror på vilken rutt du tar. Om du lämnar en byrå måste du ordna med henne, ta en fotografering och börja bygga din plånbok. Om du bestämmer dig för att gå ensam måste du skapa din egen plånbok. Antingen använder du de foton du redan har, eller genom att kontakta en fotograf för att ta en bild. Jag skulle rekommendera att anställa en fotograf eftersom den ser mer professionell ut och dess kvalitet är mycket bättre än en enkel familj eller vänner foto etc.
