Vacuum cleaner steam cleaner

A selection of hot water extractors are available on the market. They range from small or large type with hose and nozzle to those that look more like a vertical vacuum. The basic operation of the steam cleaner is to spray a mixture of warm water and detergent onto the carpet, wash the fibers, and then extract the mixture into solution. Some models include rotating or rotating brushes that shake the carpet for better cleaning.

Previous models that were sold consisted of a special wand and a nozzle that was used for wet / dry utility vacuum cleaners. The long pipe was connected to a hot spring nearby. The detergent came in a small bottle on the baguette and was mixed with hot water before being sprayed on the carpet. By using a digital control valve, you need to control the amount of water sprayed into the carpet. Even today, this type of vacuum is still used.

More modern designs are more self-contained in that water and detergent mixtures are placed in a tank on the machine. This will free you from the long water supply hose.

The main part of an extractor will consist of a cleaning solution tank, a recovery tank, a suction motor, a cleaning nozzle and some sort of solution spray system. If a pipe is used, there will also be a motor or turbine pump that will force the solution to the end of the pipe.

Vertical steam cleaners

These types of vacuum cleaners look like poles, they also include tanks, a suction motor, a main nozzle and other built-in features. The whole vacuum is moved a bit like you're using a vertical vacuum. Normally, the solution is conveyed by gravity to the spray nozzle which is directly behind the suction nozzle.

Most types have brushes mounted in the same area to shake the carpet for better overall cleaning.

When cleaning upholstered furniture and carpeted stairs, most models will have a special hose and a smaller nozzle with fixed brushes that can be easily removed.

Steam cleaners

This type of steam cleaner is supplied with a separate hose and nozzle. The tanks and suction motor are integrated directly into a housing that you train. The nozzle at the end of the pipe and the chopsticks are moved back and forth on the carpet for cleaning.

Some luxury models have a rotating motor driven brush in the nozzle that will help you with the cleaning process. These types of nozzles are much lighter for moving carpets than types of vertical steam cleaners.

The only drawback is that they are not as practical  to install   and store as the standalone vertical type. Therefore, having to pull them with you can be a pain in the neck. The smaller portable extractor is a variant of the cartridge type in a small package. Although it may seem interesting for stairs and furniture, their effectiveness is actually quite low.

Steam cleaners work best when used periodically to clean very lightly soiled carpets. If you use them on a very dirty or stained carpet, it can be very disappointing to say the least.
