Fashion shoes for women: 9 shoes to own

If you are like most women, you have dozens of sandals, sneakers, loafers, flip flops, boots and other shoes. But how much do you like it? Really love? How are doing well, complete your fashion sense and are versatile enough to serve many purposes? Plus, how many of these shoes do you really need? You may be surprised to learn that the following nine must-haves are the only styles needed to create such a perfect, complete shoe wardrobe that, no matter what the occasion, you'll have the right shoe.

  • 1. Two or three pairs of expensive shoes for a job. Study what your boss wears and then get two great pairs of similar shoes. Not only will you always look appropriate and stylish. you will always have a clean and ready pair if you have to go to the shoemaker. Need styling suggestions? Go with pumps. The pumps are not only flattering and easy to wear, but they are also the women's work shoes par excellence, especially for those who work in offices, banks or luxury stores. Opt for a black or medium neutral. Think of black, chocolate, cordouan (an old-fashioned word for cherry brown), or even burgundy, navy or charcoal.
  • 2. A work shoe for hot weather. Your best option is a two-component pump - or a pump with open ends - in a light shade such as tan, beige or dove gray.
  • 3. A pair of slingbacks in a neutral shade. They look chic with straight skirts and classic cut pants. They can be worn bare legs or opaque winter stockings. Plus, they work well with formal and quasi-formal outfits, they add sophistication to jeans and instantly dress up a denim skirt and cardigan as no one can.
  • 4. A pair of strappy sandals to wear with formal or semi-formal dress. They can also knock out jeans. Better colors: a semitone or a pale neutral, including metallics such as silver or gold.
  • 5. A pair of neutral colored sports shoes for the weekend. A woman can never go wrong with classics like oxfords, loafers, moccasins or clogs.
  • 6. A pair of attractive sneakers. They're nice enough for your Juicy Couture tracksuit, but tough enough to perform at the gym.
  • 7. A pair of fashion boots in a medium or dark neutral. Something classic enough for workwear and sexy enough to add a touch of elegance to jeans and a t-shirt every day. Flat-heeled high-calf boots are one of the hottest looks of the cold season, but they are surprisingly sought after as the weather warms up.
  • 8. Two or more pairs of casual shoes for warm weather, pale neutral color or fashionable. Think of sandals, ballet slippers or flip-flops made of leather-like material. Do you consider yourself an indefatigable fashionista? Find a pair of sneakers with a low to medium heel. Sneakers are one of the most coveted hot weather trends in 2006.
  • 9. A pair of galoshes or other protective shoes against the weather. If you spend a lot of time outdoors, opt for two pairs. Make sure it's a classic style, such as Hunter Wellingtons in navy blue, green, red, pink or pale blue.
