You understood it - Five types of nails and what they serve



If you have already been baffled by nails in your store, you are not alone. Nails are used in a variety of materials for projects such as masonry and wood, which are two of the most common materials. There are long and short nails, brass and galvanized nails as well as different types of nail heads. They can all be used for something in the house or to remodel an entire room of your home. There are 5 different nails that are useful in the house. Take a look at some of them in the list below.

Common nails. The common nail is used a lot with wood that does not require finishing work. The places to use the nails are on 2x4 and other surfaces, such as particle board and ordinary wood panels. He has a flat head and comes in different lengths. Usually, the head of the nail is left visible. Use in all your remoulding efforts around your home or garage.

Protection nails. Formwork nails meet all your woodworking needs. Cabinets and moldings are perfect for these types of nails. So, if you want new shelves or new kitchen cabinets, make sure you have them on hand. You do not want your detailed work to be ruined by unsightly nail heads.

Finishing the nails. Finishing nails are another type of nail, but they can be used interchangeably with nails for quality work at home. Rounded nail heads can be depressed or not.

Common Brads. Are listed on the length only. They are good for very light, and can be used as box nails for finishing work. Nails are lighter and shorter than conventional finishing nails.

Nail box. Canned nails look like common nails, but their heads are much bigger. The stem of the nail is much wider and is used mainly for framing and decking. If you need extreme dress, this is the nail you need.

Not only will you have to use these types of nails, but there may be cases where another type of fastener will be helpful. When you own, you never know what might break or what you would like to do! Here is another list of different types of nails.

Galvanized nails. Use these nails when you want to build a niche, frame or build a wooden sandbox for the kids. They are covered with a solution highly resistant to rust. The stem makes them very difficult to bend.

Nail paneling. The panel nail is colored to match the type of panel you want to install.

Nails in masonry. If you have a basement and need  to install   something on the wall, the masonry nails are the nails to use.

Aluminum nails. Aluminum nails are very soft nails and should only be used for certain tasks such as mounting lamps for a pool. They are not very strong, but do not rust.

Useless nails. The useless nail is if you are very concerned not to split the wood on which you are working. It's good for moldings and corners for baseboards.
