The recipe for dry skin care

Dry skin can not be ignored. Dry skin causes cracking of the top layer of the skin and gives it a really bad appearance. The main causes of dry skin are dry weather, hormonal changes, excessive exfoliation and the treatment of other skin disorders. In addition, the dryness could be the inherent nature of the skin. Whatever the cause, dry skin care is very important (but not very difficult).

Dry skin care begins with moisturizers, the most effective remedy for dry skin. Moisturizers are generally classified into 2 categories depending on how they provide dry skin care.

The first category includes moisturizers that provide dry skin care simply by preserving moisture from the skin, for example: Vaseline. These moisturizers are relatively inexpensive and readily available (even in grocery stores).

The second category includes moisturizers that act by absorbing moisture from the environment and providing it to the skin. It is a very effective way to cure dry skin in humid conditions. Moisturizers that provide dry skin care are also called humectants. For proper care of dry skin, you should use as much as possible a type of non-greasy moisturizer. Humectants fall into this category. The ingredients of humectants include propylene glycol, urea, glycerine, hyaluronic acid, etc.

Dry skin care is not just about using moisturizers, but about using them properly. The best dry skin care procedure is to clean the skin before applying the moisturizer. You can make your dry skin care even more effective by applying the moisturizer while the skin is still wet (after cleansing). Also make sure you use soap-free products (especially on the face, neck and arms). Exfoliation helps in the care of dry skin by removing dead skin cells. However, do not exfoliate too hard. Your procedures / products for dry skin care should also take care of sunscreen. Avoid too much direct exposure to the sun (just by using an umbrella / hat, etc.). Use a good sunscreen before going out. A lot of moisturizers also protect from the sun as well as dry skin care.

You also have natural products for dry skin care, that is, products that provide dry skin care in a natural way (without the use of synthetic chemicals). These dry skin care products provide lipid enhancements to the skin, thus allowing for moisture retention in the skin. Another important thing for dry skin care is the temperature of the water you use for the shower or to wash your face - use lukewarm water; too much hot or too cold water can also cause drought.

Dry skin care is also being gentle on one's skin. You should avoid aggressive detergents and alcohol-based cleaners. In addition, after a face wash, do not rub your towel on the face, but gently pat to soak the water.
