Easy and safe repairs with a gas furnace

Many people consider the oven to be one of the most important pieces of equipment in their homes, which is particularly true in winter, when heat is very important.

In addition, this is the very reason why know how to repair your furnace in case some troubleshooting problems could be very valuable.

Problems on and off

If your furnace continues to turn on and off, this is usually a simple problem with the heat anticipator on the unit. To begin repairing, simply locate your thermostat and open it. When you open the box, you will see inside a small disk located in the center. Look at the disc well. You will see that it has a number of calibration notches.

Take a closer look and you will find the word longer on it. Then try to find a small handle that touches a thread. Once you have located this small handle, turn it to the word LONGER.

After completing the steps, turn on your furnace and let it run for a few hours. If it works well, then you're done. However, if the oven is still on and off, simply repeat the steps above.

Keep doing this until the problem stops.

Stop problems

This problem is also easy, which is similar to the first problem. All you have to do is remove the thermostat cover from your device, then follow the steps described in the first problem. But in this case, you have to turn clockwise to SHORTER, instead of moving it to LONGER. This should solve your problem. If that is not enough, repeat the steps until you get the job done.

No heat generation If your appliance does not generate heat, the problem is probably the night light. Try to check your night light and see if it is on or off. If you find it out of order, you will have to turn it back on. If you do not know how to turn it back on, simply consult your device manual or contact the manufacturer. This is a relatively easy task that you can do by simply following a few simple instructions.

No air

If your device is running but does not blow air, here's how you fix it. First, you must turn off your device. In addition, you should shut off gas from the gas valve that serves your furnace.

Next, remove the door from your heating cabinet to gain access to your fan.

When you already have full access, check the number stamped on the belt of your furnace.

Then go to your local store and get an exact replacement of the belt.

Once you have the replacement belt, return to your furnace cabinet and install the new belt.

As a general rule, you can simply slide it on the smaller pulley of your engine and then place it on the blower pulley of your engine. Try rotating the fan pulley with your hand while holding the strap in place. Be careful not to get your fingers caught. If you get this right, you should be able to get the belt in place. If this seems a bit too tight, you may need to adjust the motor mount so that there is no slack in the device. After adjustment, try to tighten the tension once you have the belt in the right place.
