You can have a house powered by solar energy

Do you like living in an energy efficient house? The good news is that, given the technologies available today, solar energy is a good example.

Solar energy involves using the sun's radiant rays to power your home. For this to work, you will need to purchase solar panels and have this installation installed by a contractor.

Ideally, you will need a flat surface of one hundred square feet. It is good  to install   between 10 and 12 solar panels capable of producing about a kilowatt of power.

If you think a kilowatt is small, think again because that equates to 1,600 kilowatt hours per year. This corresponds to 5.5 hours of electricity per day if you use it to the maximum. Otherwise, the battery will remain in excess, which will help bring electricity to the home during a power outage or at night.

In addition to solar panels, you will also need the inverter, battery, charge controller, cables and support structure. Each of these parts is important because  the system   will not work without the other. Therefore, the contractor's choice must be ready before installation.

Once everything is set up, you can already enjoy your solar energy home. As it requires a minimum of maintenance, it can last up to 20 years before having to replace anything.

If you have a larger work area, why not invest in a solar roof? The difference between this and the first mentioned is that you convert the entire roof into a giant collector. It is quite expensive and takes a few days to complete but is worth every penny.

The only reason few people invest in such a system is that most roofs are not facing south, with the steep slope needed to maximize solar energy, especially in winter. To do this, you will need to carry out major construction work.

Solar energy is only one way for you to no longer depend on the energy coming from the network. When the sun does not shine, you must be ready by preparing other ways to generate electricity. Wind energy is an example that can be used at home.

Here, you use fans to capture the kinetic energy of the wind, similar to the wind turbines you see on the farm. The only difference is that the blades are connected to a drive shaft that rotates an electric generator to produce electricity.

Just do some research to find out if solar energy is achievable for your home. You should know how much energy you consume each month and exactly where your house is. If your study shows that it is possible to live with solar energy, it is best to apply for a home equity loan to pay the installation costs because you will surely get a return on your investment later in the form of credit tax and public service. invoice that will not exceed $ 10.
