Face powder

When applying the foundation, the first step is to shake the bottle well.

This is especially important when using oil-based foundations as they tend to separate.

If you have not yet applied a moisturizer to your face, add a touch of moisturizer to your palm (a few drops will be enough) and mix it with the foundation that you will also apply on your palm.

Once this is well mixed, take a little foundation and your fingertips or a small sponge and spread it over your cheeks, chin, forehead and nose.

With enough foundation in these areas, you can start smoothing your face.

Gently mix the foundation on your face in an upward and outward motion.

Make sure you do not miss any areas and especially the sides of your nose.

Mix the place where your nose and your cheeks meet, because it is quite easy to get a base that can look pretty unsightly.

Other areas that require special attention are under your eyebrows and around the jaw line.

Be sure to mix the foundation just below the jaw.

When you're done, gently wipe your face with a tissue to make sure there's no excess oil left on your skin.

A good foundation application should look very natural and not as if it had been coated.

In addition to using the correct procedure to apply a foundation, you must choose a foundation that is right for your skin type and color.

If you can not find a foundation that goes well with the color of your skin, it may be necessary to get two foundations and mix them to create your own custom blend.
