Laser vein treatment

Most broken veins appear on areas such as thighs.

It is not uncommon, however, that people develop spider veins on the face.

Although these may seem rather unsightly, the procedure for removing them is relatively simple.

Rather than trying to hide the veins with clever makeup, it may be time to consult a dermatologist and have them treated with laser.

The laser processes these veins through a wavelength of light that it emits.

Laser light increases the heat of the blood in the vein.

When the heat reaches a certain temperature, the walls of the blood vessels collapse and dissolve.

It is a relatively fast treatment that takes about 15 minutes and the patient feels very little sensation.

To achieve the desired results, you will often need several treatments spread over several weeks.

There are different types of lasers used in the treatment and the dermatologist will choose the one that best suits the desired results.

Each of the different types of lasers emits a slightly different beam and the choice of different lasers allows the dermatologist to target the different types of varicosities present.

After some laser light treatments, the capillaries will be dilated and virtually invisible.

When this laser treatment is used on the face, it is quite easy, with light makeup, to completely conceal the traces of the veins.

Laser vein treatment has very low risk of side effects, and the most visible sign of treatment is a slight redness around the area where the veins were located.
