The pores of your skin

Thousands of pores cover the skin of your face.

We all have different sizes of pores, which is often determined by the type of skin we have.

While there are obviously exceptions to each rule, you will find that people with oily skin will usually have larger pores than those with normal or dry skin.

Having larger pores can make the skin rougher and anything that can help reduce the size of the pores will make the skin look smoother.

This is a problem because pores tend to increase with age.

During the aging process, we lose collagen and the loss of collagen leads to a reduction in the elasticity of the skin.

This leads to dilated pores.

The solution, of course, is to use products that will help stimulate collagen and, in so doing, reduce pore size or at least prevent them from growing.

By firming the skin, pores can become smaller, making the skin smoother.

So what can you do to reduce the size of your skin pores and get smoother skin?

Well, anything that will reduce collagen loss from your skin will help prevent pores from growing and antioxidants have been shown to be effective in helping to maintain collagen and elastin levels in the skin.

So you need to look for facial care products that contain appropriate levels of antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E, as well as natural antioxidants such as green tea extract, high quality seed extract and pycnogenol.

Pycnogenol is an antioxidant derived from the bark of the Landis pines.
